It doesn’t take a lot to realise that the kitchen is much smaller than the kitchen we were used to in our previous home.
So the trick is to be tidy! Everything has a home, so we have learnt to be organised. We first prep the food, clear up and then move onto the cooking stage.
When the weather has been nice we tend to BBQ outside. This is Colin’s domain – I prep and he cooks.
The motorhome is well equipped and we have an oven which is big enough to cook a chicken and 3 gas rings. So we have also taken advantage of cooking indoors too.
Admittedly we haven’t been too adventurous up until now. Crikey we are still finding our feet. The facilities are good, we have a good size fridge with a freezer compartment and we even have a grill for toast!
We haven’t eaten out yet but do plan to when we get more settled into our routine.
We have learnt a new lesson today! We drove to 3 supermarkets before going to our campsite to find them all closed. In France very little is open on a Sunday, which is a good thing. Everyone deserves a day off we just hadn’t taken in this into consideration being used to English opening times. We now know for future and wont get caught out again.
Luckily we weren’t really desperate for much and found a little shop to be able to buy some spaghetti. We were both fancying spaghetti bolognese for dinner.
