Life is very different now we are full time motor homing, in our past we were organised and had a set routine.
Currently we are guided by making decisions on where we are going by either surfing the internet and finding somewhere of interest or by talking to other motor homers.
We have met several couples who have shared the wealth of their knowledge with us. Sometimes this has been very basic information- albeit useful and others have given us ideas of where to go.
It was talking to a couple on a site that we ended up going to Croatia! The comments ‘you really must go and see’ and ‘why rush you have ages’ are now becoming part of familiar conversations we have.
One couple we recently met went above and beyond what others have done. We met Mike and Mabel in Trogir. They had been touring Croatia and were heading back to the UK but they had been motor homing for years. They were so helpful they even sat and wrote us a list of dog friendly places to stay in Spain- nothing was too much trouble and they gave us some handy tips and advice which I am sure we will be grateful for!

So far the motor home community seems like a friendly bunch and its lovely to feel like you aren’t alone on the open road. This also applies to the help we have received from motor home groups on Facebook, people have been very supportive and helpful with sharing tips and advice.
We really feel part of a larger community than just the ‘two of us’ out on the road alone.
