Time certainly does fly when you are having fun and we can not believe it is 12 months since we were last in Italy.
Soave is a small commune located in the Veneto region and probably best known for its wine production. So we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this medieval town.

There is a dedicated Motorhome Aire located just outside the city walls and located right next door to the police station. It not only felt safe but it was also very quiet at night and cost only 10 euros for 24 hours. https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=13285

The town is overlooked by the castle which sits on Tenda Hill and was cited for the first time around 934. The castle is a typical medieval military edifice, it comprises a mastio and three lines of walls forming three courts of different sizes.

The town itself is full of beautiful buildings and we had a lovely afternoon wandering around admiring the architecture.

There are also plenty of wine houses to visit where you can buy the famous soave wine. Soave wine is a dry white wine and you can purchase DOC which is known as classico wine or since 2001 you can purchase DOCG which is known as superior.
We had a wonderful couple of days here and we would highly recommend a visit if you are ever in the area.
