Crevillent Spain

Crevillent is known for being a major producer of carpets and nearly every shop on the high street sells them.

This isn’t the reason we were visiting though. We had read really good reviews about the campsite restaurant and wanted to give it a try.

The campsite is called Las Palmeras and it is located at the end of the high street. https://laspalmerasresort.com/en/

We paid 18 euros per night, the pitches were all a good size but mainly in the shade, which suits us with travelling with the dog. If you have a dog with you then you can ask for a back gate key and there is an area where you can walk the dogs.

The restaurant is located at the front of the campsite. We arrived at the restaurant at 1pm and it was quite busy with mainly locals enjoying a Sunday lunchtime treat. Colin ordered from the menu del dia which was 12 euros and I ordered a starter and a main course separately.

Colin’s meal translated as fish, egg and garlic potatoes so he was a little bit shocked when it arrived and it was baby eels and not fish! all the same Colin ate it and he seemed to enjoy it.

I had the salt covered sea bass which was served and filleted at the table and it was delicious.

We shared a desert of chocolate brownie and ice cream.

The meal was excellent and really good value. We would definitely recommend a night or two at this campsite just to have a meal in their first class restaurant.
