Ribe is a pretty medieval town with history dating back over 1300 years. In fact, it is actually the oldest town in Denmark.
Ribe welcomes motorhomes and you can park for 48 hours free of charge in a car park which is located 5 minutes away from the centre. There is fresh water, grey waste disposable, chemical WC point and toilets.

The town has many well preserved buildings and about 110 houses are under Heritage protection.

Ribe cathedral is located in the centre of the town. It started being built in 1150.

Each night during the summer you can join the Night Watchman when he walks his traditional route around the streets. He starts at the market place, if you do want to take the tour please check what time he is starting as we found the start time was different to what we had researched. The tour takes about 45 minutes, he speaks in Danish & English and best of all its free of charge.

We had a pleasant 24 hours in Ribe its a delightful town full of charm.
